Coast Wildlife on Burnham’s Doorstep

Nigel has written two books on the wildlife of Somerset’s coast, “Somerset’s Coast a Living Landscape” and “A Guide To Finding Seashore & Rockpool Life in Somerset”.

In 2016 he was awarded the “Marsh Volunteer Award for Marine Conservation in recognition of his outstanding contribution to marine conservation work being carried out by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts”.

His latest book is “The Nature Of Somerset’s Coast” published by Pisces Publications. It’s a hardback book, 300 pages, and comprehensively illustrated with Nigel’s photographs.

In this talk, Nigel will introduce you to the birds and plants found along the coast from Burnham to Brean Down and look at the marine life that might be found when the tide drops and exposes the lower part of the beach.
